Comments on: Slimmed down front page stories

Thanks a lot for all the comments, and the votes. It looks very much as if a little more housekeeping will be in order this weekend, going back to where we were. Or somewhere reasonably close to there.

First, you all are running a great blog. Lots of fun material.

However, paring down the amount of pulp on the front page makes it a little less appealing for two reasons:

1. I read a lot of blogs off-line. Usually, I save the blogs I follow to my USB drive at an internet cafe so that I can read them at home later. Less pulp on the front page means that I can grab a lot less information by simply saving the entire front page.

2. When I am reading the blog on-line and want to read all the posts, I now have to navigate back and forth too much, which is just a hassle.

Either way, I will still follow your work. Great stuff. I just wanted to share a little opinion on the new layout…

Jeremy: Both page styles look good to me. Your blog is a tremendous resource to me and my students. I do hope you are able to sustain it.
