I guess you don&#039;t mean deploying a bunch of abandoned landraces and wild relatives, but rather talk about participatory breeding programmes (or as some NGO&#039;s like to say: &quot;farmer-led breeding programmes&quot;)? Anyway, I agree that adapting is the new fight!</description>

		<description>Brilliant article (and not just because you cite some of my work!).  Thanks Jeremy.  I couldn&#039;t agree with you more - the solution is probably already out there.  It&#039;s just a question of re-diversifying the hard hit areas with existing genetic resources, and the challenge lies in targeting the right genetic resources to the right site, and managing change over a long time period.  Adaptation is needed over the next 50 years, but precisely when should that adaptation occur?</description>
