		<description>Conclusion: the First Law of Geography applies to diversity between fields, to contintental scale diversity, but not to the intermediate level, where market locations, ethnicity, etc. tend to have more influence than just the distance farmers have to travel. 

But I would guess Tobler is still right if we measure distance in terms of travel time, etc.</description>
