Mapping agrobiodiversity for change

A 13-minute reportage on the Mapping for Change Conference which took place in Nairobi, Kenya on September 7-10, 2005. The reportage features interviews with participatory GIS and 3D mapping practitioners from around the globe and summarizes the process and outcomes of the event.

  1. Nice video. IIED brought out a special multi-media package of PLA Notes that covers many (maybe most?) of the presentations from the Nairobi coference. Also, Robert Chambers in his recent publication, From PRA to PLA and Pluralism covers the development of participatory mapping in the context of the general evolution of participatory approaches/methodologies. Details of these and other participatory mapping resources are covered in my own posting on this at http://rurality-danh.blogspot.com/search/label/Mapping
