“Up to a point, Lord Copper” (courtesy of “Scoop” a novel about Ethiopia). From my memory from the early days of what became the Institute of Biodiversity, durum wheat in Ethiopia had unsatisfactory resistance to leaf rust (although good resistance to stem rust).
