I totally agree. Whenever you pass through Cali, Colombia, do not miss a visit to the small village Pance nearby where the (british?) expat Brian makes great orange wine. Googling for a website of Brian’s place – without success, unfortunately, because I don´t only recommended it for his wine but also for being a nice spot on earth, with a cosy cabaña to rent hidden in lush bamboo woods at Pance river – it seems that orange wine is more common in Colombia than I had thought. There are several other places where it is produced and marketed (e.g. Buga, like Cali located in the Cauca Valley), and in Santander in the North of the country there is even an industrial processing plant. However, the next time I come through the Tolima department I´ll need to make a stop and try the famous palm wine.
