  1. “Rotations are better than monoculture for soil fertility.” This does not make sense. We’re at it again with redefining `monoculture’. What they seem to want to say is that rotations [implicit of different crops] are better than repeated cropping of the same crop. If they do not not want to say that, then they must say `mixed cropping’ or `polyculture’ instead of `rotations’.
