  1. Seeds of contention: It’s a wonder more of that kind of thing is not happening. But China getting the latest US seed technology now is payback for all those quality crops and varieties the USDA collectors took from China and dozens of other countries in the past hundred years. At least the stuff is moving around and probably of use to farmers.
